It’s mandatory to measure the land area while doing the land business. Square meter or square feet is universal unit of land measurement. But in different places, there may be different land measuring methods or units.In Nepal, usually Terai region has one standard unit of land measurement and mountainous region has the other standard unit. In Terai, land is measured in Kunuwa, Dhur, Kattha and Bigha respectively. Similarly, in hilly region, basic units of measurement are Daam, Paisa, Aana and Ropani.
