उत्पादकले नेपालमा ४३ ग्रेड र ५३ ग्रेडको सीमेंट उपलब्ध छ भनेता पनि नेपालमा अहिलेसम्म ३३ ग्रेड माथिको सीमेंट ग्रेड प्रमाणीकरण गरिएको छैन | सीमेंटको गुणस्तर उच्च र विदेशी स्तरको भएपनि ग्रेड प्रमाणीकरण नभएको कारणले अहिले पनि विदेशी सहायता पाएका ठुला प्रोजेक्टहरुका लागि विदेशबाटै सीमेंट आयात गरिन्छ | भन्सार विभागका अनुसार नेपालमा आर्थिक वर्ष २०१७/१८ मा १.१ अर्ब सीमेंट र ३० अर्ब क्लिन्कर आयात गरिएको थियो |

२८ दिनको settingपछि मानक स्थितिहरुमा जाँच्दा सीमेंटको compressive strength यदि ३३ N/mm2छ भने त्यसलाई ३३ ग्रेडको सीमेंट भनिन्छ |
३३ ग्रेडको सीमेंट साधारण वातावरण स्थितिहरुमा सामान्य निर्माण कार्यहरु गर्न, प्लास्टर गर्न र एक तल्ले भवनहरु बनाउन प्रयोग गरिन्छ | कम मजबूतीका कारण यस ग्रेडको सीमेंट M20 र बढी मजबूतीको कंक्रीटको ग्रेडहरुमा प्रयोग गरिँदैन | यो भन्दा बढी मजबूतीको सीमेंट उपलब्ध भएको हुनाले ३३ ग्रेडको सीमेंट बढी उत्पादन गरिँदैन र कम प्रयोग गरिन्छ | यसको सट्टामा अहिले सामान्य निर्माण कार्यहरुमा पनि ४३ ग्रेडको प्रयोग गरिन्छ |
२. ४३ ग्रेड

४३ ग्रेडको सीमेंट सामान्य सिभिल निर्माण कार्यहरु गर्न, RCC कार्यहरु गर्न, प्लास्टर गर्न, ब्लक, पाइप, टाइल जस्ता पुर्वानिर्मित सामानहरु बनाउन आदिका लागि प्रयोग गरिन्छ| यो हाम्रो निर्माणमा सबैभन्दा बढी प्रयोग हुने सीमेंट हो | ४३ ग्रेडको सीमेंटले M30 सम्मको मजबूतीको कंक्रीट बनाउन सकिन्छ |
